Individual Vehicle Data Search Service ® / IVDSS ®

Compiling data from multiple sources regarding auto accident reconstruction has never been easier! Balancing your own formulas, solving rudimentary equations for stiffness values, and data-mining over 30 years of general vehicle histories are now things of the past. The future is here with this Individual Vehicle Data Search Service!

The various aspects of the programs from 4N6XPRT Systems provides information for people investigating vehicle accidents and accident reconstruction. However, if you are working on an operational budget and still want your basic requirements met, then the IVDSS is the answer to your problem.

You can obtain quick statistical data to aid in a criminal defense, lawsuit, or insurance claim. To save both time and money, IVDSS options benefit you the same way that the entire program would, but with more brevity.

Contact us today to discover how our IVDSS program can help you!

Basic Vehicle Dimensions

If you would like dimensional data for your vehicles, but you don’t want to buy the Expert AutoStats program, you may still obtain the data on a vehicle by vehicle basis. If you e-mail, call, or fax us the year, make, and model of the vehicle and provide us with a check or VALID credit card number, we will provide the dimensional data similar to that in the Expert Autostats printout. Sample Printouts for the Expert VIN DeCoder, Expert AutoStats, and 4N6XPRT StifCalcs programsfrom various conferences can be accessed from the Conference Crash Test Summaries Page.

If you provide us with a VIN for that same vehicle, that will also be decoded for the same charge. If you provide a VIN you will receive both the decoding and the vehicle dimensional data for that vehicle.

This service also will provide what information may be available for trucks, trailers, and motorcycles

The cost is $50.00 (U.S.) per vehicle

Stiffness Data – NHTSA Crash Test information:

If you would like A-B-G stiffness data for your vehicles, but you don’t want to buy the 4N6XPRT StifCalcs program, you may still obtain the data on a vehicle by vehicle basis. If you e-mail, call, or fax us the year, make, and model of the vehicle, impact surface (Front / Side / Rear) and provide us with a check or VALID credit card number, we will provide the NHTSA Crash Test database and A-B-G stiffness data similar to that in the 4N6XPRT StifCalcs printout. Sample Printouts for the Expert VIN DeCoder, Expert AutoStats, and 4N6XPRT StifCalcs programsfrom various conferences can be accessed from the Conference Crash Test Summaries Page.

The cost is $50.00 (U.S.) per vehicle

FORCE BALANCE Analysis:

The 2011 version of 4N6XPRT StifCalcs® contains a Force Balance module
The Force Balance approach to Stiffness values is based on the concept of ” Equal and Opposite Forces” in combination with the assumption that one of the vehicles involved has a good set of Stiffness values based on testing.

There are essentially only TWO requirements in order to use a Force Balance approach, and they are:

  • You must have A-B values for one of the vehicles for the surface that was hit
  • Both vehicles must have SOME damage

Beyond these two requirements, the QUALITY of your calculation results will be impacted by :

  • The quality of the information you have on each vehicle (weight, pass/cargo load, etc.)
  • The quality/accuracy of your crush measurements
  • The quality of your A-B stiffness values

While the Force Balance Analysis CAN be run with degraded information in the above three areas, the quality of the results will also be degraded, sometimes significantly so.

As an extension of our Individual Vehicle Data Search Service, we have now added Force Balance Analysis runs to our services. An order form with pricing can be downloaded from this link.

With respect to the Order Form –

A) Please be SPECIFIC on the vehicle make and model, including drive wheels, bed length, etc.

B) The Curb Weight used will come from Expert AutoStats unless you specify some other weight

C) The PDOF Lever Arm default length is 0 inches

D) The Angle of Collision Force to Normal Force default value is 0 degrees

E)

If no Crush Spacing is indicated, equal spacing will be used.

The results of your request will be emailed or faxed to you, and the hardcopy willfollow in the mail.

The cost is $50.00 (U.S.) per vehicle

Basic Motorcycle Dimensions:

If you would like dimensional data for your motorcycles, you may obtain the data on a vehicle by vehicle basis. If you e-mail, call, or fax us the year, make, and model of the motorcycle and provide us with a check or VALID credit card number, we will provide the dimensional data similar to that in the sample printouts downloadable from this link.

If you provide us with a VIN for that same vehicle, that will also be decoded for the same charge. Providing us with a VIN is most helpful in determining the correct model. Requesting data for a “2009 Kawasaki Ninja” is not specific enough. In 2009 the Ninja comes in the following “flavors” – 250R, 500R, ZX-6R, 650R, ZX-10R, and ZX-14R. Providing us with the VIN allows us to determine WHICH of these models is appropriate to your subject motorcycle.

The cost is $50.00 (U.S.) per vehicle

Basic Medium/Heavy Truck Dimensions:

If you would like dimensional data for your trucks, you may obtain the data on a vehicle by vehicle basis. If you e-mail, call, or fax us the year, make, and model of the vehicle and provide us with a check or VALID credit card number, we will provide the dimensional data similar to that in the sample printouts downloadable from this link.

If you provide us with a VIN for that same vehicle, that will also be decoded for the same charge.Truck dimensional data is often times quite limited. While the truck may be ordered with wheelbases between 125-325 inches (or longer), often times information for only one wheelbase is published. Notable exceptions to this are International, Ford, and Chevrolet/GMC. If you provide us with a wheelbase measurement, we will provide the data which is closest to that wheelbase measurement. When that wheelbase is different from your desired wheelbase, a useful “Rule of Thumb” to adjust the weight of the truck is 4-7 pounds weight change per inch of wheelbase change. This is, of course, a change in weight FOR ONLY the change in wheelbase, and does not incorporate the addition/change in cab from Day Cab to a Sleeper Cab of varying lengths, or vice-versa.
This service also will provide what information may be available REPRESENTATIVE Trailers. Becasuse the trailers will often times be built “to customer specification”, we offer representative data for the type of trailer desired. This data IS NOT specific to any single manufacturer.

The cost is $50.00 (U.S.) per vehicle
