On June 8, 2026 in Fargo, ND a series of Crash Tests were conducted as part of the MATAI (Midwest Association of Technical Accident Investigators) 2026 Conference.
This test is similar to a Tractor Trailer crossing an intersection and having to stop in front of oncoming traffic. This test had a 2014 Ford Escape Under Riding a VAN Trailer at ~24-25 mph
The Ford Escape Instrumented Delta-v was ~22-24 mph
The Trailer Instrumented Delta-v was ~2 mph due to the impact. The Trailer duals had movement of ~2-3 inches
