On June 7, 2026 in Fargo, ND a series of Crash Tests were conducted as part of the MATAI (Midwest Association of Technical Accident Investigators) 2026 Conference.
This test is typical of a mid-west incident where a Tractor Trailer is crossing a small town moderate to high speed roadway to enter a distribution center and had a 2011 Buick Enclave travelling at “high speed” with the driver inattentive to the traffic ahead Under Riding a VAN Trailer at ~51 mph
The Buick Enclave Delta-v was ~31-32 mph
The Trailer Delta-v was 3-4 mph due to the impact. The Trailer duals had movement of ~ 56 inches
